Newman House, Dublin 2

For many, Newman House sums up Georgian Dublin. Elegant 18th-century rooms, elaborate plasterwork and a study. Originally two houses, Newman House became one, in the mid-19th century, when it was named after Cardinal Newman.
Daily tours guide visitors through, not only the history, heritage and restoration of the building, but also the lives of the people who lived in it.
Newman House is famous for its spectacular plaster decoration, both houses are also home to some of the magnificent eighteenth-century interiors to be found in this city.

Newman House is made up of two of the finest Georgian buildings in Dublin and have been undergoing major restoration since 1989.

Over the past 10 years I spend an average of 190 nights per annum in hotels throughout Europe and the USA, and the Trinity is my favourite hotel of all! The friendly staff and the accommodation make for an enjoyable stay.
