The Original Print Gallery specialises in contemporary Irish & International printmaking, and continually exhibits solo and group exhibitions selected from their catalogue of over 150 artists.
Here at the Original Print Gallery, they specialise in contemporary prints. Each print is handmade by the artist, usually in small numbered limited editions.
Irish printmakers are producing some of the most stimulating, powerful and imaginative work in the visual arts. Printmaking is a highly skilled, unique, complex, artistic process employed by artists since the 16th century.
Artists now incorporate and embrace new technologies, producing rich, textural multidimensional imagery. The range and subtlety apparent through the different techniques within the print medium, etching lithography, screenprint, relief print, mezzotint, monoprint to name a few, is vast and comes as a very pleasant surprise to many of our visitors.
From dynamic abstract works in large format to the more subtle landscape and figurative works, the gallery has much to offer.
