Johnnie Foxes Pub
Johnnie Foxes pub is well worth a visit! The pub is steeped in history it was originally an old farmhouse and some of the features are still there stables out the back for the animals, open fireplaces and they have even named some of the dining areas such as " The Pigs house".
The food is excellent, there is a good selection of seafood dishes but also steak and pasta dishes available. You can eat outside as well (weather permitting).
There is live entertainment most days and visitors are always welcomed if they want to have a singsong.
Many famous people have visited Johnnie Foxes and their names are all over the walls Presidents from all around the world, movie stars, pop stars, football teams and TV personalities you never know who you might bump into.
There are lots of old furniture, pictures artefacts from the way we lived in Ireland in the 50s and 60s it really is a typical old farmhouse. Across the road is a pitch and putt if you fancy stretching your legs or walking off your dinner..
Johnny Foxes is located in Glencullen in the Dublin Mountains. Directions are available from Reception.

Hop On - Hop Off - the best way to explore Dublin
First time in Dublin, or maybe wish to see the beautiful and interesting places all over again? I would recommend Dublin Bus' Hop On - Hop - Off tour. It takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and shows you the biggest attractions of Ireland's capital. The best thing about it is that the ticket costs only €14 for an adult, €6 for a child and €12.50 for a student or senior citizen, and the bus stops are located all around city centre and buses go every 10, 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of day, last bus is at 6.30pm. You will be provided with a complimentary copy of a city centre street map when you get on the bus. You can hop on at any of the bus stops, pay the driver (you don't even have to pre-purchase tickets!) and hop-off at any stop you like if you wish to explore any of the attractions, and then just get onto another bus and continue your journey until you see something else that catches your eye. The ticket is valid for 24 hours, so if you start the trip in the afternoon, after a few stops decide to go to one of many fabulous pubs (and stay there longer than you anticipated), you can continue the sightseeing the next day (hopefully - with no headache). Not an English speaker? Not a problem - the commentary is offered in several languages- Spanish, French, Russian, Italian, German and Japanese.
Have fun and don't forget your cameras!

DART Day Rambler
For those with a sense of adventure - why not try a day 'Rambling' all along the coast of Dublin. You can buy a Rambler ticket from the Bus or Dart Station and it costs approx E9.00 for a 1 day family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). Great places to stop are Malahide - a little seaside village on the Northside, Howth - a fishing village on the northside and from there take the bus to Howth summit where you get a fabulous view of Irelands Eye.
You can also do the cliff walk along part of the coastline in Howth (as long as it's not windy!!) Then hop on and off the Dart as you make your way Southside to lovely litte stops such as Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dalkey (where U2 live) and onto Bray.
If you want to be your own tourguide - then I definately recommend that this is the way to do it
