Lots of venues in the city centre have sessions of Traditional Irish Music. Here are just a few...
The Brazen Head (City Gate, Dublin 8. 15 minutes walk).

The Merry Ploughboys (Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 ) outside the city centre but definitely worth the journey! The Merry Ploughboys put on a brilliant interactive show of Irish Music and Irish Dancing. They offer a dinner and show package for approx €49 pp. Advance booking advisable as its a very popular show!
Oliver St John Gogartys (Temple Bar, Dublin 2)
Popular venue with live Irish Music daily from 2.30pm until late.
Johnnie Fox's (Glencullen, Co Dublin)
Famously claiming to be the 'highest pub in Dublin' Johnnie Fox's is host to traditional Irish music every night in the pub and also the 'Johnnie Fox's Hooley Experience' with dinner and a show with Irish music and dance. The pub specializes in Fish and Seafood dishes but also offers other options to suit all tastes.

Over the past 10 years I spend an average of 190 nights per annum in hotels throughout Europe and the USA, and the Trinity is my favourite hotel of all! The friendly staff and the accommodation make for an enjoyable stay.
Really nice hotel, staff very helpful. Bed very comfy and rooms nice and warm, would recommend it to all.
